The police contacted New Heorselife who was asked if we would pick up a pony and her foal and arrange for immediate treatment or euthanasia the foal. The foal had severe buck hooves / deformed hooves and had difficulty walking. When we got them brought home, we  unfortunately had to let the foal put down, in consultation with our vet We chose to call him Fighter, because he really must have fought. Fighter was also all dirty of feces, which shows that he has been lying down most of the time.

His mother we called NH Honey. She was very caring, and would always have Figther close to her. When Figther was euthanasiaed we let her say goodbye to him and when she came out on the paddock to the other horses, she only called after him once. Honey is a very sweet and sociable pony, and we will make sure that she gets along well.
