The rescue of Anaconda and Lukas

On a farm in Sæby in the North of Jutland there were two, highly malnourished horses and a pony. One had stood in a stable for more than seven months. The other two stood in a paddock without food and without water, and they never came in. All three were fully emaciated. One of the horses was put down on the spot, only four years old. It had given up life.

The other two horses were brought to nyt Hesteliv. We were not sure they would make the trip. It took a while to get the horses back in shape again.

Anaconda became a beautiful and round horse, and her eyes came to life again. She was very careful at the beginning, but she slowly recovered from joy. Lukas was fed very slowly in the same way as Anaconda. He was very scared of human touch at the beginning, but became the cutest and funniest pony. They were doing well and lived for a long time on nyt Hesteliv.
